Week 5

The New York Times Scavenger Hunt
1)      According to The Times, the high temperature for today will be 80 degrees.

2)      A front page news topic from today’s paper that I have read is "Diesel Scandal At VW Spreads to Core Market" 
3)      One topic written about on the Op-Ed and/or Editorial pages today is "The Republican Attack on Muslims".
4)      Write the headline of an article related to science, health, or technology: "Investors find emails Clinton said were erased".
5)      Name a headline from The Times about a crime report: 2 are killed in West Gate as Holidays Approach.
6)      If you wrote a letter to the editor of The Times recently, Look on page A26 to see if it appeared today.
7)      One famous person whose photograph appears in the paper today is Pope Francis.
8)      Write the headline of an international news story here: India: The training of African troops.
9)      Name something—a book, play, film, restaurant, or anything else—that is reviewed in today’s paper: A Soap Still Luxuriating in Its Lather
10)  Using the review listed in question 9, in one sentence, describe how the reviewer felt about the article using textual evidence:
 It seems as though he's exciting for the new season. 
11)  Name one person whose obituary appears in today’s Times: Momdouha Bobst.

14)  Find an advertisement in the paper.  List the product: Graff Diamonds.
15)  Name TWO sections where you can find advertisements: The Front page and Editorials.
16)  If you wanted to play word games, Look on page 1 in The Times.
